Eclipse Seasons
Is an Eclipse Super Rare?
There are always at least 2 Eclipse Seasons every year. An Eclipse Season is a period of the Year when the Sun and the Moon go through an Eclipse phase. There are 2 kinds of Eclipses:
Solar Eclipses (The Sun goes dark) happen during the New Moon phase of the Moon Cycle
Lunar Eclipses (The Moon turns Red) happen during the Full Moon phase of the Moon Cycle
An Eclipse Season begins with either a Solar OR Lunar Eclipse and is always followed by it’s counter part 2 weeks later. Some Eclipse Seasons experience a total of 3 Eclipses which happen in one of two ways.
Lunar Eclipse, Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse
Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipse, Solar Eclipse
The examples that follow only demonstrate Eclipse Seasons that had only 2 Eclipses per Season
2025 Example: Our first Eclipse Season of the year starts with the Lunar Eclipse on March 14 2025 which begins the Eclipse Season and will be followed by a Solar Eclipse 2 weeks later on March 29 2025.
The second Eclipse Season of 2025 will start off with a Lunar Eclipse on September 7 followed by a Solar Eclipse 2 weeks later on September 21. Concluding the Eclipse Seasons of the Year 2025.
